DONATIONS - WHERE DO THEY COME FROM AND WHAT DO WE DO WITH THEM?
Some of the work I do is on a donation basis. Donations are usually collected through our work with cancer teams (and there are other local teachers who contribute to this pot), through donations from Soul Midwifery and my work supporting the dying process. The donations are then used to support our further work and research which can include a donation for the further training of our cancer team volunteers. Sometimes we will reimburse our volunteers for petrol and expenses as I don't expect them to pay to volunteer. Some of the donation money is used to help students who are unable to fund their Reiki studies for monetary reasons and this is done through our bursary. Anyone can apply for a bursary but we will give preference to students who are planning on working on our teams or need it to support someone who they are caring for. The amount of the Bursary fund will also depend on how much we have in the kitty at any one time.
