Application of Symbols in practice.

Often during Reiki training we are encouraged to use strings of symbols in order to elicit the required effect. Others simply do not understand how symbols work and use all of them in the hope that one will be the right one. My own opinion is less is more and I often will only use a couple of symbols during a treatment (even though I have around 25 to choose from)

Cracking the code on symbols

I can totally understand why symbols can appear confusing when many of them seem to do the same old thing. I have access to more symbols than you can shake a stick at, obviously I have a good understanding of what each of them do but too much information can be as confusing as none at all. I implement the following philosophy…what is it I am trying to do and what have I got in my tool kit to make that happen?

If you use them properly, amazing things will happen.

So what exactly is a symbol?

Symbols are everywhere, anything from the Dove of Peace to the Swastika to the Golden Arches of MacDonalds , they all illicit a response within us and the Reiki symbols do exactly the same thing.

To me, these symbols hold a certain frequency and the art of Reiki is to match the frequency of illness to a symbol in order to neutralise it.

How do I know if I have the right symbol?

Easy, use the corresponding Kotodama or mantra. If it sounds fantastic, you have the correct symbol, if it sounds like pants, you’ve got it wrong..lol!

Or Plan B = HSZSN, HSZSN, HSZSN + what symbol, what symbol, what symbol!

A Spiritual kick up the backside
