BYOSEN SCANNING

Byosen scanning is a Japanese Technique which looks to find “the source of the fire” (or origin of the illness). This technique differs from the traditional western hand positions as there is no set structure of sequence.

Byosen scanning is a combination of reading the sensitivity in the hands and observation of the clients body. Often the body will reveal several indicators for healing and it is the practitioner who decides which area to work on. This is based on the intensity of the reaction of the clients body and the sensation in the hands.

Simply power up and slowly “bounce” Reiki energy off the physical aura

What to look for during Byosen Scanning

Client reactions

Look out for eye fluttering, facial expression, sighing, twitching, changes in breathing or pulse.

Practitioner Interpretation

Be aware of any sensations around the areas that the clients body is reacting to, in particular take notice of any of the following sensations and note their general interpretation

Tingling – Generally good indication, energy is on the move and this hibiki should be easy to move

Hot – Generally indicates pain and inflammation – keep hands on until you have a tingling sensation or the energy stops flowing

Cold – Generally indicates stagnant energy, not moving at all. Treat area until it warms up and then tingles before moving to next place.

Painful – Pain experienced by the Pracitioner can be caused by the pain experienced by the client whilst energy is being released. It can also indicate the release of deep rooted emotional pain

Cold and Painful – This is rarely a good sign and I would encourage the client to seek medical advice if you don’t already know the cause.

These sensations form a phenomenon called HIBIKIS. Hibiki is a Japanese word meaning echo or resonance and often create boundaries around the energetic block around the body (yes, freaky as it is, they create shapes, often boring squares, rectangles and triangles but less commonly spheres, sticks, swords and daggers. If this happens, don’t worry about it, it’s just representing how the client is feeling emotionally. You can bet on a knife in the back relating to the client feeling like someone is stabbing him in the back.

The Nature of Hibikis

Hibikis can be found in the physical aura, the emotional aura and more commonly in both as all illness originates in the emotional aura.

If the Hibiki is located in the Physical aura

Dissolve the hibiki from above and keep hands on body until the energy stops flowing CKR to seal in the healing.

If the Hibiki is located in the Emotional aura

Reduce the Hibiki to the size of a small orange and carefully remove from the aura, remembering to CKR the area of aura from where the extraction has been made.

If the Hibiki is located in both auric fields

Start in the emotional aura and reduce the hibiki until it dissolves into the physical body. Treat the physical body until the energy stops flowing CKR to seal
