Suitable for: Complete beginners or students having previously studied western Reiki and wishing to incorporate Japanese Techniques

Aim of the course:  To introduce the student to Reiki, teaching them the necessary skills to apply self healing and to give a basic treatment to friends and family.

COURSE SYLLABUS

FIRST DEGREE REIKI

The first degree in Reiki is your first step to self-healing and self-nurture. During the first workshop, we will be looking into the history of Reiki and it's principles, breathing techniques and meditation with movement.

We will be aligning our own spiritual centres and learning how to treat ourselves as well as others, including plants, animals and machinery. We will also discover how Reiki can help us create a positive state of mind and help us accomplish our challenges and goals.

The first degree workshop covers the following subjects.....

We learn how to clear the aura using a simple smudging ceremony and Tibetan bells and bowls

The History of Reiki and the 5 Reiki principles

How Reiki works on the emotional, physical and spiritual bodies

Self healing

Keeping safe during healing and Prayer of Intention

Preparing your client

 yourself, your workspace for the session

Cleansing Spirit Breathing (Joshin Kokuu Ho)

Hatsu Rei Ho (Reiki strengthening technique)

Traditional Hand Positions

Scanning the aura to locate areas of disease or disharmony  (Based on Byosen scanning)

Energy clearing your workspace and home

Energy clearing using a pendulum
